Saphir Vernis Rife Patent Leather Cleaner conditions, cleans, nourishes, protects against flaking and cracking (which is more likely to occur in the "high flex" areas of your boots), and replenishes the gloss of your polished and patent leather boots.   
 
Patent Leather is treated with a polyurethane and acrylic solution to give it its shiny, reflective surface.   The finish of patent leather boots is very robust and, generally, does not require much cleaning. However, over time, the gloss of your shiny patent leather boots can begin to fade. A little bit of Saphir’s Vernis Rife and a few minutes can quickly and easily restore the original luster and have your boots show-ring ready again in no time!
 
Directions:
Using a soft, clean cotton cloth, clean the patent leather of all dust.
Shake the Vernis Rife bottle.
Apply Vernis Rife with a chamois to clean the patent leather.
Allow the area cleaned to dry for three minutes.  Once the Vernis Rife Patent Leather Cleaner/Shoe Polish has been allowed to dry, a white film will be visible on the shoe.
The last step is to buff the patent leather cleaner to a high shine using a cotton chamois. This will clean all of the dried Vernis Rife Patent Leather Cleaner off of the shoe and working up a very high-gloss shine.
